First Camping trip in the new 23Zero Roof Top Tent on the books!
We headed out to the Wild Sky Wilderness area to find a camping spot to call home for the weekend. We had some issues finding a spot, our first one was blocked by stones and the other usual one was covered in 3 feet of snow. In the end, we found a great spot that we could spread out in and enjoy the shade of the tree canopy.
As you may know from my Instagram account, I have been working on restoring an old Land Rover Discovery and Ive added some new items to it this past spring. Most notably would be the new Baja Expedition rack and 23Zero Walkabout 56 tent. The rack has a basket in front for our water cans (one being a Lifesaver water can, check it out, we used it all weekend) and the rear has a flat section to install a rtt on. I chose a 23Zero walkabout 56 for a couple reasons. First being the quality of the tent fabric and its ability to block out all light (I slept in while camping, a first!) and the second being its 3in mattress pad (so comfy). Third and final reason being its size. They say its a 2 person tent at 56in across and my girlfriend, dog and I all slept comfortably with space to stretch out. A comparable sized tent from Tepui is considered a 3 person tent, which would have been extremely cramped.
We also got to play with the DJI mavic Air 2 drone, it allows us some great aerial views of the surrounding area.
Hope you enjoy some snippets of our trip!
